Made it to Lifetime, baby!
On December 6, 2012 I made Lifetime Status at Weight Watchers! I started Weight Watchers on October 6, 2011 and it took me a little over a year to lose 52.2lbs to get to my goal weight and then I maintained that for 6 weeks in order to achieve Lifetime. In the past year I have lost 27 inches as well as 4 dress sizes (from a size 16 to a size 8), as well as ran 2 5Ks, 1 10K with another 10K scheduled 2 weeks from now. I also have recently started eating a whole food, plant-based diet free from meat products as well as meat by-products in order to help lower my cholesterol. Health has become a passion of mine and this has truly been a lifestyle change. Not only am I passionate about health but I also have become passionate about fitness. I love hot yoga as well as running and intend to keep doing various exercises in order to keep from being stagnant and bored, because I enjoy it and recognize how important it is for my life. Unfortunately with my weight loss I still have a 28% body fat percentage and it should be closer to 20% and not to exceed 24% so in order to reach my fitness goals I plan to still lose another 5-10 lbs in order to help me be at my fittest. I have learned so much about what it takes to lose weight in a healthy way and how to maintain it. I am confident that I can keep it up because of all of the support and knowledge I have gained over the past year. To anyone who is considering getting healthier, I want you to know it is possible. Start simple and make attainable goals and eventually the goals will become bigger and the challenge will be exciting and achievable because of your previous successes. Here is a few pictures to help illustrate how far I have come:
May 2012- My first 5K that I ran in 33 minutes, down 30 lbs
July 2012, 2nd 5K I ran in 31:30 min, down 40lbs
August 2012, Down 45 lbs
September 2012, Down 50lbs
October 2012, 1st 10K ran in 63:30min

Late October 2012, down 52.2lbs-made it to goal
December 2012, down 54.4lbs: Made Lifetime Status
I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way: the WW leaders, my friends and co-workers, my wonderful family, particularly my cousins Kayla and Danyel for getting out there and running with me, my aunt Natalie for being inspired by me thus further fueling my efforts, and my mom who has been my WW and my biggest cheerleader. And lastly there is my boyfriend, Tyler, who has not only been such a huge support to me but he has even helped me cook differently and live differently, which has made all the difference. I am so incredibly lucky to have such wonderful people in my life and I am so proud and happy right now!
